Dance

Jess Hannah Dance offers classes for ages 3+. We use the International Dance Teachers Association syllabus and offer examinations under their system, along with performance opportunities such as our annual show held at The Suter Theatre in Nelson. 

Our teachers are qualified and registered, most of our junior classes also have seniors assisting. We strive to give our students quality training in an environment that is inclusive, encouraging and kind.

Preschool

  • Our Preschool programme is suitable for children aged 3-5 years. In this class we teach the foundations of dance and explore creative movement.

  • $80

Ballet

  • We offer Ballet classes for ages 3 and older, starting with our preschool programme. We follow The International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) syllabus. We offer examinations yearly and performance opportunities, both are optional.

  • $120 - Grades Primary/1, 2 & 3

    $125 - Grades 4, 5, Intermediate & Advanced

Contemporary Modern Jazz

  • We offer Contemporary Modern Jazz (CMJ) classes for ages 6 and older. We follow The International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) syllabus, with added in open work. We offer yearly performance opportunities, which are optional.

  • $120 - Pre Junior & Junior

    $125 - Senior

Adult Dance

  • We offer Adult Dance classes for ages 18 and older. We use elements of the IDTA syllabus and added-in open work with a mix of styles including Ballet, Contemporary & Jazz.

    This class has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to connect with like-minded adults, keep active, and have some fun!

  • $120 - 45min class
